AASFAA's 2026-2027 Board Nominations being Accepted!
Open positions include:
- President-Elect - 3 year commitment to serve as President-Elect (learning year), President, then Past-President
- Vice President - 1 year commitment to serve as Vice President
- Secretary - 1 year commitment to serve as Secretary
- Treasurer-Elect - 2 year commitment to serve as Treasurer-Elect (learning year) then Treasurer
Who can run for an elected position? All active members are able to run. We like to have all school types represented (public, private, for-profit, 2-year, 4-year, graduate, etc). This is a chance to get your voice and your school's voice heard!
What's the time commitment? There are 4 quarterly meetings per year which run about 90-120 minutes; the President spends additional time coordinating the meetings, the Secretary spends time preparing meeting minutes, and the Treasurer spends time balancing accounts and processing member payments. There are other committees that each member serves on, each with their own semi-regular meetings. For questions about specific positions, check out our Bylaws on the website.
What are the benefits to volunteering for AASFAA?
There are a ton! To mention a few:
- Networking with your statewide colleagues
- Opportunities to get involved at the state and regional levels
- Develop skills you might not get in your current day job (supervising, budgeting, meeting management, public speaking, program coordination, etc.) and make yourself more marketable
- Complimentary registration to the annual conference
If you have questions about this process, please contact Caleb Williams, Past President and Nominations/Elections Chair.
Nominations are due by Friday, February 27, 2026.
